John Read Anderson, 68, of Brookfield, died June 28, 2020 at LaGrange Medical Center.
Mr. Anderson was born in Oak Park on July 25, 1951 to the late Richard J. and Carol (nee Read) Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and later worked as a network specialist at Hewlett Packard and as a clerk in the Department of Revenue Services for the state of Illinois.
He was also an avid golfer and an IHSA football referee for more than 40 years.
Mr. Anderson was the husband of Dawn (nee Evans); the father of Blake (Lupita) and Kevin Anderson; the grandfather of Sebastian and Leonardo; the brother of Richard Jett (Lynn) Anderson; and the uncle of Jeff Anderson, Brian Anderson, Bill Covich and Andy Covich.
Services have been held. Memorials donations are appreciated to Project Zero or the Chick Evans Scholars Foundation would.
