Albert J. Preslicka, 91, of Lindenhurst and formerly of Brookfield, died on Nov. 16, 2019. 

Born on May 7, 1928, he was a graduate of Tilden Tech. Mr. Preslicka was an engineer for 40 years with Western Electric/Bell Labs, an avid photographer, archer (lifetime member of the Chicago Bow Hunters), and a curator of the largest joke collection. He was a veteran who served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. 

Mr. Preslicka was the husband of the late Dolores B. Preslicka (nee Bauer) for 64 years; the father of Alan (Tracy) Preslicka and Karen (John) Betancourt; the grandfather of Cheryl (Jay) Jerik, Ken Jackson, Anthony Preslicka, Addison Preslicka and Haley Dean; the great grandfather of Hannah Jerik, Carson Jerik and Parker Jerik; the brother of the late James (Marilyn) Preslicka; and brother-in-law of John (Linda) Bauer. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

Visitation is on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. in Brookfield, followed by private inurnment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
